Paulo Dybala reveals he once told Cristiano Ronaldo he 'HATED' him

Roma's Paulo Dybala has admitted he once told Cristiano Ronaldo that he 'hated' him.

The pair spent three years together at Juventus between 2018 and 2021, winning two Serie A titles, an Italian Cup and two Italian Super Cups.

Reports have claimed Dybala and Ronaldo did not get on well during their time in Turin, something 'La Joya' denies.

Argentine forward Dybala revealed to DAZN he let Ronaldo know he had 'hated' him as a child because of his country's support for CR7's rival Lionel Messi - but added that they have 'always been on good terms'.

He said: 'I spent three nice years with Cristiano, the team was very strong and he added something more.

'There's a big rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo in Argentina. Once, we were flying out for a game, I was sitting at the back of the plane and he was slightly ahead.

'At some point, he came to me, we spoke about life in general for a while, and I told him: "As a kid, I practically hated you."

'We laughed about it and we've always been on good terms.'

Portuguese veteran Ronaldo, 38, left Juve in summer 2021 to return to Manchester United, where he spent one-and-a-half seasons before his contract was terminated following a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan criticising the club.

He now plays for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, who are second in the Saudi Pro League table.

While Dybala left Massimiliano Allegri's side last summer for free at the end of his contract, signing for fellow Italian giants Roma.

He has scored 16 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for Jose Mourinho's men, who lie fifth in Serie A.

The Giallorossi are level on points with fourth-placed AC Milan as they aim for the top four to secure Champions League football next season.
