Pedri: I didn't expect mexican fans to like me so much; we are an excellent team

According to Mundo Deportivo, after Spain's 3-1 victory over Peru, Spanish international Pedri was interviewed.

On being popular with fans

"It's always great when fans chant your name. I didn't know they liked me so much here, and it feels really good."

On high altitude (match played in Mexico)

"During the warm-up, I did feel the altitude sickness. At first, I was a bit breathless."

On the goal

"Ferran uses his dominant foot, so his crosses and shots are very good. I knew that if he went forward, the ball would definitely come to me. I just needed to put my foot in."

On the FIFA World Cup

"The match against Peru was to get a feel for the game atmosphere before the FIFA World Cup, and we are eager for the debut."
