Pedri's transformation: The Barcelona midfielder has bulked up

Pedri returned to Barcelona's training complex this week as the players made their way back for pre-season to begin. First, though, the usual medical exams got underway.

Pedri caught the eye of many, and the physical shape the young midfielder is now in attracted a lot of attention on social media, with users drawing comparison between the new Pedri and how he appeared when he first broke onto the scene.

A tweet from Mister Seitan blew up, with thousands of people engaging with the post and sharing their appreciation of Pedri.

Pedri's physical work to create a new and improved version of himself

In an extensive report published by MARCA, Pedri's physical workouts were detailed.

The Canary Islander made the most of his injury break to hit the gym and build his muscle mass, working closely with specialists int he field.

In his three months out, the midfielder's aim was to increase his weight, but he was keen to do that without losing any of the speed or agility that he previously had.

Pedri worked closely with his physical trainer, the same as Ferran Torres', and also with the club's training staff. He also had a gym installed in his house.

Since February 2022, Pedri has gained four kilos and built up a lot of mass in his upper body, arms, and shoulders.
