Former Chelsea striker Loic Remy has insisted 'people know Jose Mourinho is a good manager', despite his recent struggles as a boss at Manchester United.
'He trusted me,' Remy said in an interview with The Independent.
'I remember one time before a big match, it was Manchester City at home, and Diego Costa was injured and he grabbed me and said "I know your quality. I know you can play these type of games, so just go and don't think too much".
'For me, honestly, I always remember when I was there, tactically he was very good. He knows football.
'People know Mourinho is a good manager, even if he had trouble in some clubs.'
Remy arrived at Stamford Bridge at the end of the summer window of 2014 and was used as understudy to Diego Costa.

Every good manager gets sapped by the wears and tears of football management. That's why it's very important to take a step back once in a while, recover, and rebrand. He will be alot better when he returns to the dugout. Sabbatical helps alot(Ask Guardiola)
