Petit: Rice and Mosquera MUST NOT get injured; They are CRUCIAL for Arsenal

Arsenal legend Petit expressed "concerns" about the injuries of Declan Rice and Cristhian Mosquera, who left the field due to injuries during the team's victory over Brentford.

The Gunners easily defeated the Bees 2-0 and once again led the Premier League table with a 5-point advantage.

Arsenal has long been without its starting center-back pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães in this game - the two can only watch from the stands. Saliba was injured during training before last weekend's game against Chelsea, while Gabriel is expected to be out until late December due to a thigh injury.

Mosquera and Hincapie continued to partner as center-backs in the absence of the two players, but the latter landed unsteadily after an aerial confrontation in the latter part of the first half and was forced to leave the field early.

Another heart-stopping moment occurred in the closing stages of the game - Rice was injured and fell to the ground, clutching his calf as he left the field, with the situation unclear.

Arsenal has faced numerous injury problems this season. Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard have all missed games, and Kai Havertz has not played since the first round.

But the withdrawals due to injury of Mosquera, especially Rice, have deeply worried former Arsenal star Petit.

"For Arsenal, this wasn't their best performance of the season so far, but they created the best chances and deserved the win," Petit said. "I'm also worried about Mosquera and Rice. I'm not sure about Rice's injury. The team has recently played three crucial games, and I don't want to see any more injuries."

"This is not the situation you want to see, because he (Rice) is too important to the team. I'm very worried and hope his injury is not serious, after all, this guy's role is irreplaceable."
