Piers Morgan tore into Arsenal for 'choking' at Manchester City saying his team were 'a bunch of rabbits' who were 'destroyed' by Pep Guardiola's side.
City produced a stunning performance to seize control of the Premier League title race with a devastating 4-1 win over leaders Arsenal.
Kevin De Bruyne struck twice with John Stones and Erling Haaland also on the scoresheet at the Etihad Stadium as City delivered a potentially decisive blow to the Gunners' hopes of lifting the crown.
Speaking on talkSPORT, TalkTV host Morgan admitted that Man City played like champions at the Etihad.
'We choked a two goal lead against Liverpool, we choked a two goal lead against West Ham, struggled to even draw with Southampton, and now were absolutely destroyed by Man City,' Morgan said.
'That's four in four games. I'm afraid there's no easy way to say it… we have bottled it.
'I do think it comes down to mentality. We've got the ability, we've got the talent, we've got the players, the youthful zest and energy. We've got all those things.
'I don't think anybody thought that, man for man, Man City's players were way better than Arsenal.
'Truthfully, after that game, every single City player played immeasurably better than the Arsenal players.
'The best example was that this kid Akanji completely neutered Saka. Saka didn't get a kick all game and he's been one of the best players in Europe.
'Martinelli didn't get a kick, neither did Gabriel Jesus. None of them did. Partey didn't have a good game, the defence was awful, Zinchenko didn't have a good game. I could go on.
'The whole team were frankly hopeless and I do think it's a mentality thing.
'I look at the City team and even in the tunnel they reminded me of those Wenger title winning teams in 1997/98, 2002 team, the Invincibles.
'Paul Scholes once said to me that in the Arsenal tunnel you used to see a bunch of champions staring at you.
'Last night, Arsenal looked like frightened rabbits in the tunnel and looked over and saw a bunch of champions staring at them.
'They played like a bunch of frightened rabbits. They played a team who not only are the champions right now but believe they deserve to be champions and are going to be champions.'
Outspoken supporter Morgan also slammed Arsenal's performance on Twitter as he watched along.
A downbeat Morgan tweeted: 'We're just giving this away. The ball, the match, the Premier League. Embarrassing capitulation by Arsenal. So disappointing.'
He then demanded that the Gunners try to put up a 'fight', posting: 'At least put up a bloody fight, Arsenal.
'I don't mind losing to a better team, which City clearly are, but I do mind losing so spinelessly.'

Why can't someone tell this mthfker to mind Ronaldo's business in Al Nassr? This guy is NOT an Arsenal fan. Am telling you. Arsenal did what they could, at the end of the day Man City were just better. Don't 4get this same City beat the might Bayern.
We definitely could and should have played better. The way we played looked nothing like title contenders

Gooners have every right to be disappointed. However, lets not forget the main objective for this season is a top 4 finish. Let’s say thank you to the whole squad…….We go again 💪💪

I FULLY AGREE 💯 with Morgan Arsenal were clueless don't deserve to be EPL CHAMPIONS.,they just can't handle pressure, Man city will be worthy EPL champions ,will take 2 seasons at least when we can win City and be serious challengers for the league. Just imagine how are performances in the Champions league we need to get rid of our rabbit mentality and trade it for a lion 🦁 if we want to do well.Only time will tell.Im a huge disappointed and disgusted Gunner from South Africa (Cape Town). .

This man is fickle minded. He's too hyped for Arsenal to win the title while he should know better of Arsenal's subs which needs overhaul especially on the defensive and midfield line
