Pepe is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a centre back for the Portugal national team and FC Porto. An aggressive, physically strong and tenacious defender, Pepe is known for his hard-tackling style of play.
Born in Maceió, Alagoas, Pepe started playing football with local Corinthians Alagoano. After being promoted to the main squad for the 2002–03 season, under Russian manager Anatoliy Byshovets, Pepe rarely missed a match, playing in several positions including defensive midfielder. During the summer of 2004, Pepe signed with top division giants Porto for €1 million and helped Porto to win back-to-back leagues and the Taça de Portugal.
On 10 July 2007, Real Madrid signed Pepe to a five-year contract, paying Porto a €30 million transfer fee. Pepe soonly became the most important part in Real Madrid's defence and won 3 La Liga titles, 2 Copa del Rey and 3 Champions League titles. On 4 July 2017, Turkish Süper Lig side Beşiktaş announced the signing of Pepe on a free transfer from Real Madrid. On 8 January 2019, Pepe returned to Porto after over a decade.
Born and raised in Brazil, Pepe opted to play for the Portugal national team and has earned over 100 caps since his debut in 2007. He played at three FIFA World Cups and three UEFA European Championships and was a member of the team that won UEFA Euro 2016, also reaching the semi-final of Euro 2012.
Let's take a look at Pepe's great performance in Euro 2016:

I've always admired Pepe for his physicality. He is not afraid of anyone. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why most strikers are afraid to go near him. Many attackers lose possession of the ball in attempt to escape the crunching tackles from Pepe which may end their career. Real Madrids one of the worst decision was to let him leave. He derseves more respect and is currently in form with Porto. We are lucky to witness both Casillas and Pepe playing together once again. In my opinion, he derseves an overall rating of 84 or more. We will see Pepe again against Liverpool.

But honestly, as ridiculous as it is to rate a professional football player's pace at 1 at the same time I find it funny like how slow can Pepe be?! Pace at 1 is probably the speed of a 2 year old. Let alone any professional football player's rating at 1 is quite ridiculous and unfairly underrated outta hate.

The most deadliest defender I've ever seen in my self. Someone whom strikers fear, ita Pepe. During his professional career he played for Marítimo, Porto, Real Madrid, and Beşiktaş with individual and team success with the middle two clubs. He won three league titles, three European Cups and played 334 games for Real Madrid. Born and raised in Brazil, Pepe opted to play for the Portugal national team, and has earned over 100 caps since his debut in 2007. He played at three FIFA World Cups and three UEFA European Championships, and was a member of the team that won UEFA Euro 2016, also reaching the semi-final of Euro 2012.
