Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola likened the Champions League clash against Atalanta on Wednesday to 'going to the dentist'.
City were held to a 1-1 draw in Europe at the San Siro, dropping their first points of this season's competition as they go in search for their maiden Champions League title.
'All the Italians will tell you that to get four points against them is a big success for us,' said Guardiola.
'Playing Atalanta is like going to the dentist - it's really, really tough and we knew that it would be. It was a great performance in every sense.'
Asked why he thought Atalanta had struggled, Guardiola said: 'The other two teams are very strong - Shakhtar Donetsk are a team who play in this competition every year and have a lot of experience, the others, Dinamo Zagreb, are a surprise, a really hard-nosed team. This is a really tough competition.'

Playing Atalanta is like going to the dentist coz Man City were toothless. So much so that Jesus missed a controversial Penalty. [Crylaugh][Crylaugh][Crylaugh]

Atalanta is an inferior City lookalike, I thought City would have thrashed them, the way they played against Cagliary.

To be honest Atalanta need to find some attackers with pace and skill. And even though they’ve scored the second most goals in Europe this season, Atalanta lost the ball way too much cause of the lack of skill, ball control and physicality. Considering how well there doing in Serie A they need to put that confidence in UCL too.

Liverpool already went to their dentist.
Just look at Klopps and Firminho's smiles.
Let's see what happens when the guys who went to dentist play against each other.
