Mauricio Pochettino will avoid any further punishment from the Football Association after his furious full-time reaction following Chelsea’s dramatic draw against Manchester City.
Pochettino was booked for venting his fury at fourth official Craig Pawson and then charging onto the pitch towards referee Anthony Taylor.
Pochettino was angry his side were denied the chance to launch one final attack to potentially win the game when Taylor blew his final whistle and had to be held back from confronting the official by members of his coaching staff.
Pochettino quickly apologised for his behaviour following the game and admitted he ‘crossed the limit.’
Though as the incident was dealt with at the time by Taylor with his caution for Pochettino there will be no additional action from the FA.
The booking was Pochettino’s second of the season after he was also punished at Burnley. One more will result in a one-game touchline ban.
Pochettino said about his post-match anger against City: ‘I need to apologise to Anthony [Taylor], and the referees and the fourth official, because in this moment I feel that maybe Raheem can go through and go to score the fifth and it is moment I turn when finished the game to Anthony and say 'what the...'
‘I said 'why stop in this moment?’ and then when I turn and say, 'I deserve to be booked'. Yes, I crossed the limit and I want to apologise. It's not a good image for me and for football for this type of behaviour.’

Coaches are humans too. They can be furious at times. Even fans sometimes get annoyed by what these referees do. Those on the top offices are doing nothing about it Maybe they're the ones instructing their referees what should be the outcome of the match. Worst is this bloody VAR, just wasting time disturbing the momentum of the match, by stopping while they check something then they come with a dubious verdict. VAR was started to help human errors of the match officials, but instead it's all nonsense
leave there if you don't like VAR get out !!!😡😡

Yes, I was also wondering why ref blew the whistle so fast not even accounting for the time delay during the extra 8 minutes injury ; stoppage time. Should have extended another 3 to 4 minutes more! 🙄
