Manchester United’s failure to secure Champions League football next season could see key players David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku all leave Old Trafford this summer.
The Red Devils’ hopes of finishing in the top four in the Premier League this season took a huge blow over the weekend following their 4-0 hammering at Everton .
That humiliating defeat was their sixth defeat in their last eight matches, and leaves them in sixth place with a top-four berth out of their hands.
And failure to qualify for Europe’s elite club competition could see the key trio all consider their futures this summer.
The Guardian have claimed that De Gea, Pogba and Lukaku all want to play in the Champions League season, and will be willing to leave Old Trafford.
This latest report comes after it was claimed Pogba and De Gea both demanded huge pay rises amid uncertainty over United’s participation in the competition.
Failure to qualify for the elite European club competition would see every United player have their basic salary reduced by a whopping 25 per cent.
This was the case when they last missed out on Champions League qualification before Jose Mourinho’s arrival in 2016.
The Times have claimed that Pogba and De Gea have got wind of this situation, leading them to demand a huge pay hike amid fears United will miss out on a top-four spot.
Pogba is on a £290,000-a-week deal and has two years left to run on his current contract at Old Trafford.
The midfielder has, however, been linked with a summer switch to Real Madrid and there is a strong possibility that he could leave United for the Bernabeu.
Meanwhile goalkeeper De Gea, who has endured a tough time on the pitch of late, has been locked in talks over a new contract for some time now.
The Spain international is looking for an improvement on his current £200,000-a-week deal, and his representatives are agitating for a higher basic salary.
Real Madrid are also keen on De Gea, and the Spanish giants could use this latest saga to their advantage.

If that's that is the condition they need to stay the club then let them leave no matter how good they can be, because we want dedicated players who want and deserve to wear that shirt and play for this club even through the good times and bad Also, selling Lukaku and Pogba might just give us the money that we need and want to spend and we can bring in a professional centre-back, right winger and goalkeeper (if De Gea is really leaving) One more thing....if we are to sell these players please add Smalling, Young, Fred, Matic, Darmian, Martial, Sanchez and Lingard to the lost thanks
