Ian Baldry, who claims to be a 'massive MCFC fan', has been charged with racially aggravated disorder after he allegedly swore at Raheem Sterling last year
A 58-year-old Manchester City season-ticket holder has been charged by police after allegedly swearing at striker Raheem Sterling after he scored a goal.
Ian Baldry, who claims to be a 'massive MCFC fan', has been charged with racially aggravated disorder after he allegedly swore at the footballer last year, the Sun reports.
Raheem Sterling, 24, scored a goal in the 57th minute of a home game against Bournemouth, bringing the score up to 2-1, in December.
And Baldry, a security firm worker from Bradford, has been accused of reacting to the goal by swearing at the player.
His friend, 57-year-old James McConnell, has also been charged of racially abusing Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings, 26, and a steward at another match.
Both men are due before magistrates on September 26.
A Man City spokesman told the Sun their season tickets have since been suspended.
On his Twitter account, Baldry writes he is a 'Massive MCFC fan married with a beautiful daughter watch city home n away for years just love away days with the blue army that's y were champions.'
