Chelsea boss Graham Potter has insisted Hakim Ziyech remains committed to the club despite his deadline day move to PSG going up in smoke at the last minute - and stressed he is still an important player for the squad.
Ziyech looked destined for a switch to the French champions having travelled to Paris to complete a loan deal and even undergoing a medical - before a series of administrative errors from Chelsea and the LFP led to the deal being scrapped.
Chelsea have been accused of missing four phone calls before filing unsigned documents to the French club before the deadline passed - leaving PSG furious that the move could not be completed.
The Moroccan international will now be forced to stay at Stamford Bridge for the remainder of the campaign, but Potter believes the disappointment of the collapsed deal will not affect the winger - calling him 'professional' and 'committed'.
'He is a professional player,' Potter told the media ahead of their game against Fulham. 'He understands the situation. He is committed to us.
'He is available for the squad against Fulham and he will be an important player for the rest of the season.'
It came after PSG boss Christophe Galtier pointed the blame towards Chelsea for the scrapped move as he admitted it was a blow not to add Ziyech to his group of players after he worked hard to replace Pablo Sarabia who has joined Wolves.
However, the French boss insisted he was 'satisfied' with his current squad.
Speaking about the situation after PSG's win over Montpellier on Wednesday, Galtier said: 'From the moment we released Pablo Sarabia to join England, we targeted players who could play on the right side. For various reasons, which I won't go into, we couldn't make the player we had targeted.
'I have a quality workforce, the young people will have their say. Obviously in a very busy schedule you have to be careful with injuries and fatigue, but there you go, I'm satisfied with the squad I have.
'Unfortunately, we could have reinforced it following the departure of Pablo, but we couldn't. I believe that the responsibility does not lie with our club. That's how we move forward. That's how it is, that's life, we look ahead.
'We wanted to replace Sarabia, with a player able to evolve on the right side. Unfortunately, Ziyech was not done and these are the hazards of the transfer window. It must be accepted. The responsibility does not lie with PSG, as I know.'
Chelsea claimed a computer glitch was to blame for the move not going through after an email containing Ziyech's loan agreement was not sent.
After a day of talks over the details of the move, it is believed Chelsea sent PSG a copy of the loan agreement before the 11pm deadline.
The French club returned the document requesting the Blues sign it, which they did and thought they responded back to PSG in ample time.
But it later emerged that the email had not gone through due to an error.
PSG later re-sent the agreement and Chelsea again signed it and returned it at 11pm which was deemed too late.
Chelsea reject accusations in France they sent the incorrect documents three times.
Sources have suggested that Chelsea's focus on getting their British transfer record deal for Enzo Fernandes agreed was a contributing factor towards the Stamford Bridge club's blunder - but that has also been refuted.

Potter was wrong picking ziyech to start a game when he shld have known that he wouldn't be in a good frame of mind psychologically having missed out of joining Psg on loan. Some coaches would not even select him to be on the bench. Ziyech to me is a lazy player from day one he joined Chelsea. was this how he was playing when he was at Ajax?

You’re stupid, that’s why they made him a fool sitting at psg office waiting for a mail? Why didn’t chelsea just reject the move, instead of making a fool of ziyech after completing medical
