After Arsenal defeated Sporting CP in the 1st leg of the Champions League Quarter-Finals, the Premier League has officially gained 5 spots for the next season's Champions League qualification.
This is the second consecutive season the Premier League has grabbed extra seats for the Champions League tournament. After the Gunners' away win, the season association coefficient for the Premier League reaches 25.013, which guarantees their top 2 seats on this table and locks in their 5th seat for next season's UCL.
La Liga, with 6 teams competing across UEFA tournaments, has an association coefficient of 20.281. They are placed 2nd, ahead of the Bundesliga's 19.714 and Portugal's Primeira Liga's 18.9.
The Premier League could also reach even further. If Aston Villa, currently no.4 on the Premier League table, wins the Europa League title but is not within the Top 4 in the Premier League at the end of the season, then England will have 6 clubs to participate in the 2026-27 Champions League.
The same criteria also apply to Liverpool. If either of them wins a European competition and eventually ranks 5th in the PL, then the no.6th will have a claim to UCL place. If both teams win the European titles and place themselves in 5th and 6th, then the 7th-placed team will participate in the UCL next season.
Nottingham Forest, who are struggling to avoid relegation, will also have a UCL qualification if they win the Europa League title.

Will the Premier League just send more teams, or actually prove their dominance by winning it?
