AZ Alkmaar have signed the 21-year-old Danish Under-21 international winger, Isak Jensen, from Viborg FF in a five-year deal.

The Danish U21 international, who scored 18 goals and had five assists in 60 appearances for Viborg, is set to cover the gap left by Ruben van Bommel and Jayden Addai, who have left the Dutch club.

21-year-old Isak Jensen joined Viborg FF in the summer of 2023 in a loan deal from St. Louis City, which was then turned into a permanent contract the following year.

Viborg Sports director Mads Agesen says:

"When we brought Isak home from the USA, it was with a common ambition that he should develop into a profile for Viborg FF and later be sold for an international club again, and we are now succeeding in that plan in cooperation."

"Isak has done a fantastic job for us, and we have been happy with his contribution, so of course it is also a pity in the short term that we lose a talented player, but at the same time we are also proud of developing players for a club like AZ."

Jensen, who was one of the profiles for the Danish international team in the Under-21 European championships, is thrilled to be given the chance to shine at Aalkmaar.

"It is a great opportunity for me to move to AZ, I am very motivated, and at the same time I am happy that it will also be a good deal for Viborg. It is what can be called a success story for both parties, and that has also been important to me. So thank you for everything to everyone in and around Viborg", says Isak Jensen.
