Like many of us at home during quarantine, former Barcelona captain Carles Puyol has been looking back at old matches, with one moment during a Clasico at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu standing out to the Catalan.
Roberto Carlos was renowned for having a ferocious left-footed shot and as he attempted a shot that was goal-bound, Puyol put his head on the line and prevented a goal.
"You almost took my head off, buddy," Puyol wrote alongside the video on Instagram as he tagged Roberto Carlos.

Respect Puyol. I remember a Barca match I was watching praying for Barca to lose. Puyol went for a tackle n cut somewhere close to his eye brow with blood coming out. This guy ran out of the pitch got the wound stapled with a stapler! They got it plastered n bandaged n he ran back into the pitch in sec....since then, I have nothing but respect for Puyol.
