Manchester United have been offered Aaron Ramsey as part of a new bid to take Paul Pogba back to Juventus - and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is interested, a report claims.
Pogba appears destined to leave United, and Juve are scrambling to find a way to engineer the Frenchman's return to Turin and reduce his likely £60m-plus fee.
Both Paulo Dybala and Miarlem Pjanic have been suggested as makeweights in a deal, but Solskjaer would prefer Ramsey, according to the Transfer Window Podcast.
Ramsey's industriousness could be a better fit with star new midfielder Bruno Fernandes than Pogba's desire to dominate the ball, which could hinder the Portuguese playmaker.
The 29-year-old Welshman has failed to make an impact at Juve since joining on a free transfer from Arsenal last summer - he has scored just four times and registered one assist in 24 appearances, with injuries not helping his cause.
But Ramsey has Premier League pedigree, having spent over a decade at the Emirates Stadium.
One stumbling block to Ramsey joining United could be his enormous wages.
Because he joined Juventus after his Arsenal contract expired he was able to demand a huge pay packet.
He signed a staggering £400,000-a-week deal at Juventus that is due to net him £83m over four years.
Pogba re-joined United in 2016 for £89m, which was then a world-record fee, but they are now unlikely to recoup the same amount.
His contract with United is due to run out in 2021 and, with a new deal appearing unlikely, United may be forced to sell the 27-year-old World Cup winner in the summer or see his value plummet even further as he counts down towards a potential free transfer the following summer.
Pogba's season has been disrupted by injuries and he has only featured in eight games this season. The player's agent, Mino Raiola, has regularly stirred up transfer rumours and indicated his client would be open to a return to Turin.
Atletico Madrid midfielder is reportedly Solskjaer's main midfield target this summer, although he could command a huge £135m transfer fee.

Lol, Pogba just said he wanted to stay and win trophies with United which has proved his commitment to the club, he said it himself and I trust he will not go against his word, to hell with these bloody rumours, Pogba is staying and will form a devastating partnership with Bruno

After Ferguson, Utd have had brilliant players but either multiple players for same position or player adjusting out of position. Ramsey would definitely give that balance but seems unlikely this transfer will happen. Ferguson called Ramsey mediocre.
