French newspaper L’Equipe believes that Ralf Rangnick has signed a pre-contract with Milan to take charge of the Rossoneri from next season.
Rangnick has long been linked with a move to Italy, with reports in Germany emerging of a potential deal months ago.
Calciomercato.com also ran the story, in which it claimed Rangnick would have full control over Milan; buying, selling, scouting and coaching players.
Rangnick would effectively have three roles combined into one, and it would also see the end of Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban’s time at the club.
Now French daily L’Equipe have also picked up on the story, with the paper going so far as to say that Rangnick has already signed a deal with Milan’s owners, Elliott.
L’Equipe also believes that a penalty has been inserted into the pre-contract, stating that if Elliott back-track from the deal, Rangnick will be financially compensated.
Rangnick was coach of RB Leipzig last season, and currently has the role of ‘head of sport and development’ within the Red Bull organisation.
Current boss Stefano Pioli is not expected to last beyond the end of this season.

This is the problem they don’t have patience. You can’t keep switching coaches every now and then and expect the team to be stable and competing for trophies. I hope this is a fake news.

this news will distract to all of milan family (management, player, coach, staff), not the owner (elliot) and gasidiz. me and we as a fans will get the the impact... the future of milan back on uncertainly. i think the solution if rangnick is one of the management as technical director the jobdesk is buying, selling and scouting. boban and maldini involved to technical with players and coach. rangnick selling based on boban and maldini assessment or recommend.
