Claudio Ranieri was left in tears as Roma fans paid a brilliant tribute to their manager in his final game in charge of the Serie A outfit on Sunday.
Roma beat Parma 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico in their final game of the season to finish sixth in Serie A following a tough campaign both domestically and in Europe.
Ranieri returned to Roma in March after replacing Eusebio di Francesco, who was sacked after the club's 4-3 aggregate defeat to Porto in the last-16 of the Champions League.
The Italian was a hugely popular choice as manager and it showed on Sunday as Roma fans showed their huge respect for the 67-year-old.
During the victory over Parma, the Roma supporters displayed a touching sign to the former Leicester boss, which read: 'Mr. Ranieri, in our moment of dire need, you have answered. Now, you receive the homage of your people.'
And Ranieri was visibly left inconsolable as he lapped up the special praise from the Roma faithful on the weekend.
The Italian has a special connection with the Giallorossi fans, having been manager at the club during the years of 2009-11.
Ranieri, who was born in Rome, started off his playing career at his boyhood club as well, featuring a handful of times for the Italian outfit between 1973-74.

Considering Roma lost quite a few personel and arent as rich as the other Serie A clubs, he did as well as he could. Should have been backed more....

The only thing that held Ranieri from winning Serie A before is that little bit of luck.. What a great manager and what a heart he has, as a Roma fan we were lucky to have you on this short notice and everyone would love to see a renewal which unfortunately wont happen. We lost 2 Men in one night yesterday DDR and ranieri cause of stupid management.. Grazie Mr Ranieri
