Raul Garcia sends message to fans after being named Napoli coach

Raul Garcia has been named new coach of champions Napoli.

Garcia succeeds Luciano Spalletti after he chose to step down after guiding Napoli to the Scudetto last season.

“What a pleasure to join Napoli's project. What a pleasure to return to Italy," Garcia wrote on Twitter after Napoli's official statement.

“I am motivated and ambitious, now more than ever, to continue to bring up the colours of the Italian Champions."

No details have yet been released over the length of Garcia's deal.

The Frenchman, a former Roma coach, was a free agent after being sacked by Al Nassr last month.
