Liverpool and Manchester City kick off the new season by contesting the FA Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
This will be the Reds’ first appearance in English football’s annual super cup since 2006, while the Sky Blues will be looking to retain the pre-season silverware for the first time in their history.
Let us re-live five great goals from the Community Shield before the match between Liverpool and Manchester City at Wembley.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic - Leicester 1-2 Man Utd - 2016
Manchester United's summer signing Ibrahimovic typically had the final word with seven minutes to go, rising to meet Antonio Valencia's cross and beat Kasper Schmeichel via the post.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea - 2015
Olivier Giroud - Arsenal 3-0 Man City - 2014
Giroud picked up the ball 25 yards out and sent a dipping strike over Caballero to effectively end the game as a contest.
John Arne Riise - Chelsea 1-2 Liverpool - 2006
Riise ran almost the length of the pitch unchallenged before unleashing a 25-yard shot which Cudicini perhaps should have saved.
Didier Drogba - Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal - 2005
Drogba almost killed Sendros, the Chelsea striker deftly bringing down Asier Del Horno's pass and then clipping a volley in on eight minutes.
