Real Madrid are contemplating making a complaint about Luka Modric's agent Marko Naletilic for allegedly offering the midfielder to Inter Milan.
As reported by Cadena Ser, it is likely that Modric will remain at Real despite Inter trying to sign him.
According to the report, Inter offered Modric, 32, a six-year contract, which would have seen him play for them for four years prior to joining their Chinese link club Jiangsu Suning for two years.
Real previously had a good relationship with Inter but that has now soured, with the Spanish side aggrieved by the fact that Naletilic was speaking to other clubs about Modric.
Inter have already been reported to FIFA by Real over an alleged illegal approach for Modric.
It was claimed in Gazzetta dello Sport that Modric had told FIFA that he had initiated contact with Inter after they started an investigation into Real's complaint.
There had been suggestions that Modric was encouraged by the prospect of playing with Croatian team-mates Ivan Perisic, Sime Vrsaljko and Marcelo Brozovic.
However, Modric hit out at those claims, referring to them as 'the greatest nonsense in history'.
Modric, who has enjoyed much success during his time at Real, featured as a substitute as Real commenced their La Liga campaign with a 2-0 victory over Getafe last weekend.

I respect Madrid but if they sell modric in such a weak situation.. They might find it extremely difficult to regain their domination again.. In the worst case it may last for another decade given that there are no people like Ronaldo, Zidane, modric out there. That's what is happening with Barca after their golden generation having almost vanished
