Real Madrid are to admit defeat over David de Gea - and turn instead to Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to TeamTalk.
Real Madrid have been linked with a swoop for De Gea since Zinedine Zidane returned to the Bernabeu as manager recently.
And now, put off by United's valuation, Real Madrid are planning a cut-price swoop for Arrizabalaga,
The Spanish giants hope to land him for £50m, the report says. Chelsea paid £72m for him last summer, but since then he has been involved in a public spat with boss Maurizio Sarri when the keeper refused to be substituted during the Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have England goalkeepers Jack Butland and Nick Pope in their sights if Arrizabalaga does leave.
