Real Madrid and Barça‘s possible rivals in Copa del Rey quarter-final?

Both Madrid and Barça will discover their rivals in the next stage of the knockout tournament with the draw taking place on Monday.

After eliminating Deportiva Minera and Celta Vigo in the previous rounds, Real Madrid fans will be anxious to discover the team’s opponents in the next round as the competition reaches the quarter-final stage.

A Madrid derby or even another Clásico are all potential matchups with just eight top flight sides remaining in contention.

FC Barcelona are one of the teams that no-one will want to draw. After beating Barbastro and Real Betis, the 31-time Copa del Rey winners will be looking to add to their impressive trophy haul as the road to the Sevilla final continues.

Monday’s draw

All eyes will be on the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas on Monday, where from 13:00 (Spanish time) / 07:00 ET, the eight sides will be drawn. With the survivors all hailing from LaLiga, this will be an open draw with the team first drawn designated as the home side.

Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Getafe, Leganés, Valencia, Real Sociedad, Real Madrid and Osasuna are the remaining teams who will discover their fate on Monday afternoon with then next round games (to be played as a single match) earmarked to be played on February 4,5 and 6.
