Real Madrid's elimination at the hands of Barcelona in the Copa del Rey may not have just been down to their scoring issues, but the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo is more than obvious this season as Los Blancos have lost a mean difference of 26 goals from the 'Cristiano era'.

In the ongoing campaign, Madrid have scored 87 goals - 37 at Santiago Bernabeu - and have registered their lowest scoring figures in the last nine years.

Santiago Solari's side average 2.02 goals per match as they have scored 16 times fewer than their worst-scoring campaigns in 2010/11, 2012/13 and 2017/18, when they netted 103 times.

There are only teams heading into March with over 100 goals scored so far this season as Paris Saint-Germain have netted 108 times in 36 games, while Barcelona reached the 100 goals mark at the Bernabeu on Wednesday, having scored an average of 2.43 goals per game.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City have registered a 2.68 goal per game ration, having scored 124 in 44 matches so far this season.
