Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric: I've told Rodrygo to call me 'dad'

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has hailed the current form of Rodrygo.

Modric is happy to act as a mentor to him.

He said, "Rodrygo is a very good and special boy. We get on really well.

"He told me that I'm the same age as his dad and that's why I told him to call me dad because he needs to listen to me. He's a very good player and is performing really well and I'm delighted for him because he's gracious and has both feet firmly on the ground.

"He brings a lot to the team when he comes off the bench. He now needs to keep on going and in terms of the areas where I've helped him out, you'd have to ask him on that one."
