Real Madrid mourn Keegan, offers condolences to family and former clubs

Real Madrid announced through official channels its deep condolences on the passing of legendary English footballer Kevin Keegan, and extended sincere sympathy to his family and all those concerned.

Real Madrid, its president, and its board of directors express their deepest condolences on the passing of Kevin Keegan, a legend of English and world football. Real Madrid also extends its sincere sympathy to Kevin Keegan's family, friends, former teammates, and all the clubs he played for and managed.

During his playing career, Kevin Keegan played in England for Scunthorpe, Liverpool, Southampton, and Newcastle United, and in Germany for Hamburger SV. While playing for Liverpool, Kevin Keegan won 1 European Cup, 2 UEFA Cups, 3 English First Division titles, 2 Community Shields, and 1 FA Cup. While playing for Hamburger SV, he helped the team win 1 Bundesliga title.

Regarding individual honors, Kevin Keegan won the Ballon d'Or in consecutive years, 1978 and 1979. After retiring, Kevin Keegan transitioned to coaching, managing several English clubs and the England national team, with his coaching career lasting over a decade.

In 1982, Kevin Keegan was awarded the Order of the British Empire. Kevin Keegan was 75 years old. May he rest in peace.
