The operation to sign Neymar for Real Madrid is entering a crucial period after it became known that the Spanish club have asked Juni Calafat to begin negotiations with the player's father.
At least that's what is being said in Brazil.
According to "Globesporte," Calafat, head of the international football department at Real, has established the first contact in order convince the player to join Los Blancos next season.
The Brazilian has a contract until 2022 with Paris Saint-Germain, and the refusal of president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to allow his star to exit is resounding.
Madrid are aware that it will be a tough negotiation but trust that the player can exert the necessary pressure to open the doors.
In France there is no buyout clause, and PSG spent more than 200 million euros for the former Barcelona player just a year ago.
The French club are unlikely to see any value in selling him so quickly, unless it is the footballer who forces his departure.

PSG would look so stupid if Neymar left after a single season and all they really got out of it was shirt sales. They could have won Ligue 1 and the other domestic trophies without him. Neymar would have to really kick up a stink and not show up for pre-season for them to even consider selling.

Honestly I'd rather get rid of Neymar. There's always something wrong with having him on the field, he's always complaining and always seems unhappy. And after his failed world cup I'm fearing that it will only get worse. I'd rather focus on developing Mbappé and finding midfielders that could serve him well.

Neymar would cost perez more than 200 million. With that money he could have offered Ronaldo a contract extension with it physical capabilities he would have offered 50+ goals for 5 more seasons while time Neymar would be age 31 😂
