Real Madrid have named their asking price of £60million for five-times Champions League winning midfielder Casemiro amid interest from Manchester United.
As a new day see's the desperate English club linked with a host of players as the transfer clock ticks down, United are now interested in bringing the midfielder to Old Trafford.
The Champions League holders previously stated their intentions to bring no new signings to the club, but could see one of their most successful ever players leave, with the La Liga giants having set their asking price for Casemiro as reported by Football Espana.
United boss Erik ten Hag has been trying to lure a La Liga midfielder to Manchester all summer in the shape of Frenkie de Jong, but the Premier League outfit may instead find themselves turning their focus to Madrid.
Casemiro has three years left on his current contract at the Bernabeu but is being offered the chance to make a huge payday at the age of 30, with United ready to offer the Brazilian a five year contract.
The South American star could double his wage by moving to England, with United reportedly willing to do a deal worth £9million per season, and would follow in the footsteps of Raphael Varane who made the same switch last year.
Madrid, although reluctant to sell one of their prized assets won't stand in the way of Casemiro leaving the club given his great relationship with club chiefs after almost 10 years in the Spanish capital.
The issue for United however is their ability to lure a serial winner such as Casemiro to the Premier League, with the defensive midfielder winning every available title during his time in Spain so far.
A quick glance at the two sides shows the quality that Casemiro would have to part with should he join Ten Hag's side, with him swapping playing alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, to joining a midfield alongside Scott McTominay and Fred.
United's current estimation falls £10million short of Madrid's asking price, but with the transfer window slamming shut and the Reds slumping to bottom in the league, a compromise may well have to be made.
Casemiro joined Real Madrid from Brazilian side Sao Paulo in 2013 and during his trophy-laden spell at the club has won the La Liga three times, the Champions League five times, the Fifa Club World Cup three times, and the Spanish Cup once.
During the same spell, United have won the Premier League once, the Europa League, the League Cup, and the FA Cup, with the club last winning silverware in 2017.

Man utd should stop buying players because they will always flop. Try and bring your Academy to the team. Those kids really want to play, these are the players who can give 100% fighting spirit. Just my opinion no abuse!
