Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Steven Gerrard will be ready to succeed Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout.
"I wasn't sure if Stevie would go into management,” Redknapp told The Lockdown Tactics podcast.
“It's a bit like Frank Lampard. They've both had great careers, won everything, and I could see them just doing punditry, take the easy option. But they haven't, they've gone it at the sharp end.
“Stevie is in Scotland and doing well. Yet, it's not easy because Celtic are so strong. But Stevie has got it, you can see that. I think a few years at Rangers, and as long as he doesn't make too many mistakes, it's only a question of time before he manages Liverpool when Jurgen Klopp decides to go.”

let's stop using silly yankee slangs that we already have words for. There is no "dugout" in football ,anymore than the name of our game is ".soccer." Yes, I know that soccer is a British slang, but the Brits know that football is football.

He is ready even now bcz he truly loves football and he has worked with great managers. The advantage is a captain is as good as his coach bcz the two consult each other
if it were like that, where are all the great captains? being a footballer is not like being a manager. because the not so GREAT players can become the best managers in the world. for example Klopp, Mourinho and Guardiola. Not top players but Top managers.
