Supporters of Liverpool and Tottenham have been left raging after a Zavvi competition offering tickets to the Champions League final told every entrant that they had won.
The merchandise company tweeted an apology on Thursday morning after a number of participants were led to believe they were going to the final on June 1.
They later deleted the tweet that read: 'Apologies, we're aware of the problem regarding the recent Mastercard Competition.
'We seem to have had some technical issues and we're currently looking into this.'
Sportsmail has contacted Zavvi for further comment and they are yet to reply but plenty of customers responded to their tweet to let them know of their dismay.
The 'winning' email said that two tickets to the final, two nights at a four star hotel with flight, transfers, travel and a £250 prepaid card had been won by each participant had been won.
'I feel like someone just took my favourite childhood teddy bear and chucked it in a blender,' one user wrote.
Another said: 'I hope you're going to do right by those who have received the email.
'Obviously not expecting you to honour trips for all but a Zavvi gift card should be the minimum.'
Tottenham qualified for the Champions League final on Wednesday night by beating Ajax 3-2 in Amsterdam.
The day before, Liverpool thrashed Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield to qualify for the June 1 match in Madrid.

If CR7 can wake up the day of the Finals and say he is retiring from Football the whole world will forget about Final of the Champions League like he made the world forget about the World Cup just by leaving Madrid for Juventus...😂😂😂 #The Guy who can stop the World!

Yes that's just happened to my family. We have just told everyone we have won and now feel so let down. Not happy.
