Chelsea starlet Reece James has revealed he has a shirt signed by his manager hanging over his bed.
James, speaking in an exclusive interview with FourFourTwo, said: 'I got taken into the Chelsea dressing room, they gave me a shirt and all the players signed it, including John Terry and a lot of others.
'It's still at my parents' house today, hung over my bed. Frank Lampard's name is on it – I haven't told him so I'm not sure he knows, but he's definitely on there!'
James is happy to be plying his trade under a Stamford Bridge legend after returning to his boyhood club after a successful loan spell at Wigan.
The England Under 21 full back revealed Lampard tried to bring him to Derby last January but it didn't materialise because he was content at the Latics.
He added: 'He wanted to sign me for Derby last January, but it didn't go through. I was happy playing at Wigan.
'It was good to know he rated me, although that was at Championship level, and when you get a big job at a Premier League team, sometimes minds can change. But we spoke when he arrived and he said he wanted to give me a chance.
'I was injured, and he told me to come back in the best shape possible. I'm thankful that I've got to work with him.'
James, who has played 25 games under Lampard this season, will be hoping to start on Sunday when Everton visit Stamford Bridge.

i have seen james playing winger but not mid field. so, mount might come in as mid field and reece might move to winger position. or lampard might adopt 3-4-3 formation since we are lacking in mid field

Most people don't know the meaning of being a player or a Manager. Just because they have internet connection they hide behind unverified accounts and talk trash about things they don't have a clue. Chelsea is under transition so let's wait and enjoy the fruits of this labour quietly

James is the best right back at the club what fighting has he got to do? hes better than Azpi at RB rven if sometimes Azpi has good games Reece is more consistent. As for Mount his pressing is vital to how we play that's why he starts even if his abilities arent amazing you need a player like him in the team that will do the dirty work up front. by pressing defenders to win the ball back high up the pitch for a quick counter. I dont expect you guys to understand though cos you have the basic knowledge of football and dont actually bother looking into the game more than what's on the surface which is goals...

i was just laughing after reading your post. truthfully players have device a means to buy the approval of their coaches by singing their praise. paradventure Lampard is no longer Chelsea coach and another coach comes, same praise singing will continue.
