According to the latest report from Swiss Sky Sports reporter Sacha Tavolieri, Richard Hughes is close to moving to Al-Hilal, but will complete this summer's transfer window work for Liverpool.
Richard Hughes is reportedly close to taking a position at Al-Hilal, and is in advanced negotiations with Saudi officials to become Al-Hilal's new sporting director. The Saudi plan for him is to have him work on Liverpool's next transfer window before starting his work at Al-Hilal.
Richard Hughes, 46, previously served as technical director at Bournemouth for 10 years. In June 2024, he joined Liverpool as sporting director, a position he has held ever since. Earlier, he was involved in the decision to dismiss Slot and the process of appointing Iraola as the team's head coach.
