Brazil legend Rivaldo has backed Cristiano Ronaldo against critics, saying people criticize him because they envy him.
Ronaldo scored a ridiculous header against Sampdoria this week, and Rivaldo has backed the Juventus star.
"There are many people who criticize him [Ronaldo] unfairly, and perhaps it is because they are envious of his success," said Rivaldo.
"He still has a lot to give, especially at Juventus. Sometimes the Italian press criticizes, but Ronaldo shows on the pitch how good he is."
"With goals like this [the header against Sampdoria], he leaves the critics speechless. But he doesn't need to argue with them to prove anything. He does it where it should be done, on the pitch with such displays."

So true, even though am a Barca fan, that doesn't mean I should start criticising Ronaldo, that is a sign of disrespect, Ronaldo is one of the pillars to football, he is a legend and he needs to be respected for everything he does, he is a great player, without him we wouldn't have the Messi - Ronaldo rivalry, it is only haters who troll and disrespect the two, people criticize for his success and what Ronaldo does to them is easy, which is silencing them.

Rivaldo is Barca player and a fan of Barcelona. That's the only reason people hated him for. The other reason is that, he has inflicted a heavy blow on 99% of the whole club and country football. Messi can play against order football countries, they will hail him because he can't do nothing, he is not a threat to any. CR7 both on and off the field he is great.
