Rob Green does a John Terry by wearing full Chelsea kit to lift trophy

Rob Green outdid John Terry on Wednesday night by wearing full kit during Chelsea's Europa League celebrations in Baku.

Former Blues captain Terry famously wore full kit when he joined his team-mates on the pitch to lift the Champions League trophy in 2012.

Terry was ridiculed as he had not played in Chelsea's victory over Bayern Munich because of suspension, although he had started eight times on the road to the final.

But Green's well-dressed appearance on the pitch in Baku on Wednesday night was even more laughable as the 39-year-old has NEVER played a game for Chelsea.

The reserve goalkeeper was not even named a sub throughout Chelsea's 15-game Europa League campaign — even in the final when each side was allowed a 12-man bench.

Due to Green's lack of appearances, he did not receive a winner's medal, but that did not stop him getting his hands on the trophy.

Green's big celebrations appeared to be rather tongue-in-cheek and some of his team-mates looked amused as he stood centre stage with the trophy above his head.

Former England No 1 Green joined Chelsea on a free transfer from Huddersfield last summer. He didn't make a single appearance for the Yorkshire club either.
