Brendan Rodgers is looking increasingly likely to become the new Manchester United manager after looking for houses in the Cheshire area.
The current Leicester City boss is Manchester United's top choice to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford after some poor recent results for the Premier League side and a trophyless three-year spell under his tenure.
Rodgers has been tipped to replace him before the new year, and this latest revelation will only add fuel to the rumours.
Big decisions at Manchester United
Manchester United's humiliating 5-0 defeat at home to Liverpool, followed by a 2-0 loss to cross-city rivals Manchester City has forced the United board into action, with an emergency board meeting called talk about the future of the club.
Rodgers was identified as the top target and sources close to his family have revealed that he's been looking at homes in the areas of Wilmslow and Alderley Edge, which is roughly a 45 minute drive from Manchester compared to almost two hours to Leicester.
Should Rodgers get the Manchester United job, the club's hierarchy will not give him a huge transfer kitty for the January transfer window, as they believe the current squad have more than enough quality to improve on results so far this season.
Those in charge believe that the manager is the issue and that Rodgers would produce far better results with the same group of players.
Brendan Rodgers' past
The Northern Irishman previously managed Swansea City, Liverpool and Celtic before moving to Leicester, and he has overseen a vast improvement in the club's performances on the pitch, winning the FA Cup last season and then the Community Shield at the start of this campaign.
Antonio Conte, who has now joined Tottenham Hotspur, and Zinedine Zidane were both on the Red Devils' radar, but they demanded huge sums of money to spend over the coming year.
