Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano released his latest video, recorded with Colombian TV journalist Francesco Porzio, on his Italian podcast channel, providing updates on Milan.

Here is the news related to Milan revealed by Fabrizio Romano in the video:

Porzio: "Let's turn our attention to Milan. We previously summarized Milan's club structure with Matteo (Moretto). Regarding the head coach, it seems increasingly likely to be Ruben Amorim, right?"

Romano: "Yes, it's increasingly tending towards Ruben Amorim. This has been our consistent line since last night and the past few days. We've already told everyone that there was no agreement between Glasner and Milan. Glasner had been waiting for updates from Milan for the past 12 to 13 days, but he received no news and likely won't, because contact between Glasner and Milan has actually been broken for some time, despite previous rumors of an agreement. Conversely, Amorim and Milan maintain direct and continuous contact."

"As for Matthias Jaissle, we are discussing him on Sunday evening in Italy. He has not yet officially terminated his contract with Al-Ahli, so Milan has not yet made that call to say, 'Okay, we're going with someone else'. Therefore, Matthias Jaissle might still have hope deep down, but it's a more difficult path. We know he has a contract with Al-Ahli and his salary is very high. The claim that his buyout clause is 5 million euros is not true; it's actually more, almost double, or even a little more. So, it's obviously very complicated to bring Matthias Jaissle from Al-Ahli."

"Meanwhile, the Ruben Amorim route is much smoother. He has fully expressed his openness, and due to the nature of the contract, reaching an agreement with this Portuguese coach is much simpler. Therefore, Milan is showing more and more strength and increasingly leaning towards choosing Ruben Amorim. I believe that early next week, which is in a few hours, Milan will make its choice, and that will be the moment to start the rebuilding."

Porzio: "Regarding Amorim, there's also the topic of his contract with Manchester United, right?"

Romano: "Yes, it's very important to talk about this, because Amorim actually left Manchester United in early January. In that dismissal in early January, the compensation for Amorim and his coaching staff reached approximately 20 million euros, or just under 20 million euros. This is really a lot, a huge amount, but it was the only way to resolve the contract, otherwise Manchester United would have had to pay more. So, an agreement was reached on this amount at the time."

"Now, if Amorim goes to Milan, and if this topic is confirmed, obviously the amount Manchester United will have to pay Amorim will be reduced. This is because the severance pay terms are linked to the coach's contract duration. If he finds another job, finds a different financial solution, then Manchester United's expenditure will be alleviated."

"However, for Amorim, he doesn't really care about this; it's not entirely about the money. He wants to start anew, and he is very committed to Milan's plans. As I mentioned in last night's video, he has told those around him that he is fully prepared for this challenge. Therefore, Amorim finding a new club will also make Manchester United very happy from an economic perspective."
