Ronaldo’s goal was the 746th in his career, just as much as Hungary and Real Madrid legend Ferenc Puscas.
Only Josef Bican, Romario and Pele have now more career goals than Ronaldo.
The former Slavia Praha striker is the best goal-scorer in the history of the game with 805 goals, Romario has 772 while Pele netted 767 goals during his playing career.
Portugal are now due to face France and Croatia in the Nations League before the end of the international break.
