Ronaldo showed signs of disgust and anger during his shocking tell-all interview

Cristiano Ronaldo astonished fans and team-mates alike as he gave a shocking tell-all interview about feeling betrayed by Manchester United.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner appeared concentrated and confident in his brutal critique of the Red Devils but gradually grew more agitated when talking about the current state of the club.

The anger and resentment looks obvious from Ronaldo’s body language and the constant use of sustained eye contact with an open, rounded eye shape suggests he is more than comfortable and confident talking about United in this explosive interview.

We don’t see his body in these clips but there appears to be a steepling gesture with his thumbs which would signal power and status.

When talking about being ‘forced out’ Ronaldo’s facial movements become asymmetric, suggesting a mixture of complex thoughts.

His left eyebrow rises and he performs a micro-snarl with a raising of one side of his upper lip as his eyes close in a momentary cut-off so signal he is masking some deeper emotions but then there is a tongue-poke gesture that will normally signal rejection or disgust, followed by an angry-looking lower jaw-jut.

The former Real Madrid star then said: 'Some people, they don't want me here - not only the coach but the other two or three guys. Not only this year, but last year too.

'Honestly, I shouldn't say that. But listen, I don't care. People should listen to the truth. Yes, I feel betrayed.'

The word ‘betrayed’ prompts an eyebrow-flash and a tightening of his lips which again will usually signal anger.

The Man United winger then talks on the lack of development at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure.

Ronaldo then launched an attack on former Manchester United interim coach Ralf Rangnick. 'This guy is not even a coach. A big club like Manchester United bringing in a sport directive surprised not only me but all the world.'
