Cristiano Ronaldo could have to wait until next Tuesday for his second full Manchester United debut.
The 36-year-old Portuguese superstar is due to report for training this week after spending five days in quarantine due to Covid rules.
The Sun reports Ronaldo will have little time to prepare for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Newcastle at Old Trafford
Ronaldo may have to settle for a place on the bench against Newcastle as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer waited a fortnight to give Raphael Varane his first start after joining from Real Madrid for £41million.
Ronaldo can expect a start in United's low key Champions League away trip to Switzerland next Tuesday when they take on Young Boys in Bern.
Ronaldo sealed his sensational switch to the Red Devils in a £19.8million move from Juventus, 12 years on from his departure for Spanish giants Real Madrid .
The Portuguese was released from international duty early this week and touched down in Manchester on Thursday.
He is undergoing a period of self-isolation with his family before joining up with his new team-mates.
He travelled with girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez and children Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., 11, Alana Martina dos Santos Aveiro, 3, Eva Maria Dos Santos, 4, and Mateo Ronaldo, 4.
The star forward, widely considered the best in the world, touched down in his private jet from Faro at Manchester Airport on Thursday at 5.40pm, and was swiftly taken to a multi-million pound mansion.
Photographs from inside the mansion reveal a swimming pool, gym and cinema room which Ronaldo will be able to enjoy with his young family ahead of the start of training next week.
He is now ensconced in the seven-bedroom countryside property, with a top-of-the-range fitness area, hot tub and six-strong security patrol - allowing him to relax during his five days in quarantine before joining club training on Wednesday.

Nonsense. Ronaldo always keep himself fit at any moment and he has lots of premier league experience. Besides, Ole's football is very similar to Alex Ferguson times : Play direct football and not possession. Play is built more on player skills and instinctive movements and less tactical positioning. Quick transitional wingplay and counter attacks. The only diff is we use to have scholes, Keane and later carrick controlling that midfield. The current CM are less skilled.

he didn't miss to prepare for this game. he was suspended for 1 match due to the yellow card. And there was only one more left which they could beat even without ronaldo. so they just gave him a rest.
