RUBEN AMORIM has the worst win percentage of any Manchester United manager since World War II - adding yet another miserable record to his torrid spell in charge of the club.
Man Utd fell to another defeat under Amorim on Sunday when they were easily beaten 3-0 by neighbours Man City, who subsequently leapfrogged them in the Premier League table.
After just five games in all competitions, United have already suffered an embarrassing defeat to League Two side Grimsby, been battered by their local rivals and needed a 97th-minute penalty to squeeze past relegation favourite Burnley at home.
The pressure has never been more intense on Amorim, who despite the shocking form, is still insisting on playing his style of football and not adapting to the opposition.
But his results are now at an undeniably poor level, after stats provided by Opta showed that he now has the worst win percentage of any Man Utd boss who has taken charge of 25 or more games in the past 80 YEARS.
Amorim has managed to come out on top in just 36.2 per cent of his games in charge of the club.
To put that into perspective, Erik ten Hag - the man who Amorim replaced in the Old Trafford hot seat - boasts a 54.7 per cent win percentage from his time at United.
While David Moyes, who was sacked in his first season in charge, managed a win percentage of 52.9 per cent.
Compared to Sir Alex Ferguson's superb 59.7 per cent win percentage, Amorim's record looks humiliating.
You have to go all the way back to Wilf McGuinness, who managed United between 1969 and 1970, to find a remotely close record.

McGuinness won 33 of his 91 games as United boss, meaning his win percentage of 36.3 per cent is still marginally better than Amorim's.
While Frank O'Farrell, Man Utd manager from 1971-1972, pips Amorim with his 36.6 per cent win percentage.
Other notable names that did better at the Theatre of Dreams include Ralf Rangnick, Louis van Gaal and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But forget isolating Amorim's shocking form to Man Utd comparisons, the most worrying thing for United fans is the way he stacks up against his current opponents.
Since arriving in Manchester last November, Amorim's United have the worst record of any Premier League club still in the division.
Of the 17 ever-present Premier League clubs excluding those promoted and relegated, his struggling Red Devils are BOTTOM of the table.
They have picked up a pitiful 31 points from 31 games, including just eight wins.
That is the exact same points tally as Tottenham but with a worse goal difference on -13 to -4.
Things don't seem to be turning around this term either, with United now just picking up four points from their opening four Premier League games - marking their worst start to a league campaign since 1992-93.
But Amorim is steadfast in his approach, insisting he will have to be sacked before he changes his 3-4-3 formation.
Speaking after Sunday's defeat, Amorim said: "It is not a record we should have at Manchester United. I accept that but I am not going to change.
"When I want to change my philosophy I will change but, if not, you have to change the man.
"We will talk about that every game we lose. I have played my way and I am going to play my way until I want to change."

My problem here is the kind of players he's brought in, another coach will come and complain that these kind of players do not suit his system of play. So for this reason, I think we should give him the whole seasonπ€π€

That's true. This is the worst ever scenario I have witnessed as an avid Manchester United fan since I started supporting this team back then in 1994. Sincerely speaking, Amorin takes the largest portion of the current underwhelming situation in this club. Sporting Lisbon and Manchester United are very different teams playing in different leagues. It's Amorin's stubborness of sticking to one pattern of formation, forgetting that every match requires different approach base on the particular situation of that very match. How can someone remain persistent on a single idea that is not producing fruitful results? Most successful teams in Europe are well known for using 4-3-3/4-4-2/4-2-3-1 formations. And switches quickly to another formation if the initial plan fails going forward. But Amorin's case is not like that. The worst thing is that he doesn't listen to advise from greats when the going gets tougher. After all, every successful individual must be triggered by one or two individuals through different aids. In life, we must lean on each other to grow. He don't even have a man-management spirit. A good coach is fully aware that he's not only training or managing footballers but also he's managing human beings. The dude should just go kawai, period!πΆπΆπΆπΆπΆπΆπΆπΆ

Amorim has to change his style of play.. players like Mainoo and the key players like Dorgu and many others are not positioned at their regular positions and his 3-4-3 fir nation does not suit the players as itβs basically the European football styles which is not suited for EPL.. either he changes and he needs to go ???

Jose Mourinho era was not supported with new recruit of players. He manage with the squad disposable. still yet he had an excellent record. Even thou he was sacked. So why is Manchester not addressing the era of Amorin? When politics get involved in football, the outcome is always negative.
And he is available.

amorim is tΓ³o stubborn, if one formation is not working for you why no try different one, he just stick to one pattern of play which makes him playing some players out of their natural position, it really sucks
It's a big signal to let everyone understand he is not the right man for the job. He had no other idea implementing other methods.

I won't fall for this rubbish. While Mourinho was winning and getting results to come second in one of the seasons and silverware the complaints were it is not the Man U way! He is long gone and every other manager since then was getting the same criticism whether he had worse records or not. Nobody has actually accepted that a big club like MU is rotten and can't match the other clubs in areas that matter most. Everyone sings the same song and will continue singing it even if you bring any manager. It is not a coincidence that the best managers don't want their CVS tainted by the Man U job. The expectations are not matched by doing the basics right. They think bringing in a new manager every other season will solve the problem.

Some of these critics havenβt run longer than over a zebra crossing and now they speak of football and its tactics. Amorim will fix this team but it takes time.
