Ryan Fraser is weighing up a near double-your-money deal from Crystal Palace.

Winger Fraser is a free agent after leaving Bournemouth when his contract expired on June 30.

Palace are keen on the Scot and prepared to hand him a deal worth in the region of £50,000 per week before bonuses to move to Selhurst Park.

Fraser was on around £27,000-a-week at the Vitality Stadium though that deal was signed back in February 2017 when he was just starting to make an impression at the top level.

The Cherries were willing to reward Fraser with a more lucrative deal as he became a more established Premier League performer but his preference was to run his contract down and leave on a free this summer.

Palace are keen to reduce their wage bill and bring down the average age of their squad, which peaked at 31 during last season, and at 26 Fraser would help towards that. The Eagles have already snapped up right back Nathan Ferguson, 19, on a free from West Brom.

They are chasing QPR's starlet Eberechi Eze, 22 and have had a £12million plus add-ons approach knocked back with Rangers holding out for £18m.

Palace are competing with West Ham and West Brom for the attacking midfielder.

The south Londoners also have plans to further integrate academy product and left back Tyrick Mitchell next season.

Mitchell, 20, broke into Roy Hodgson's first team since the restart, making four Premier League appearances and starting their last two games.
