The Portuguese star ran away as if he had got his head to Bruno Fernandes' cross against Uruguay. It was shameless!
Unfortunately for Ronaldo, it turns out there is a sensor inside adidas's Al Rihla match ball. Graphics confirmed it flat-lined as the ball flew past him.
I'm sure the fact that Lionel Messi is sponsored by adidas and Ronaldo by Nike will lead to some fun conspiracy theories! But watching replays in real time, I didn't think he touched the ball.

Simple truth. Ronaldo is abt Ronaldo. Only people with workable brians can agree. I do believe too that Ronaldo's movement was very important, otherwise the goalie would have caught the ball. But Ronaldo didn't touch it. I thought he wanted to match Messi's # 2 goals at this WC...the simple and wise thing he would have done is simply point to Bruno as the scorer. If I were Ronaldo, with 800 plus goals, i would never claim a goal i didnt "fully" score. Pathetic.
