Sacking Erik ten Hag will likely reportedly Manchester United £9m in compensation.
The Dutchman will reportedly be dismissed after the FA Cup final on Saturday, regardless of whether or not United beat Manchester City.
Ten Hag has a year left on his original three-year deal, worth £9m in wages.
The Sun claims he will be due £9m if he is given the boot, unless there is a reduction in his wage due to failing to qualify for the Champions League.
He will reportedly face a pay cut to £6.75m per year if he stays, as per ESPN, due to missing out on the Champions League - and that could therefore be the repriced pay-out clause.
Ten Hag is set to lose his job even if he wins the FA Cup, The Guardian have reported.
The Dutch coach has endured a difficult second season at Old Trafford, finishing eighth in the Premier League - the club's lowest finish since 1990 - and falling short in the Champions League and Carabao Cup.
He guided them to third place and a Carabao Cup win in his first season, but a litany of on-pitch and off-field issues have seen them crumble.
Has he got any crunch talks scheduled with the club's hierarchy? 'No, we already did (talk) and on Sunday I will go on holiday. I think I deserve it,' Ten Hag said in his pre-match press conference/
'It is not necessary [to get assurances from INEOS]. We will go for next season.
'Of course, we are together. Since January they have been part of this club and they want us to win trophies.
'This club didn’t win many trophies in the last 10 years, so now we have the second opportunity in two years and it is a big opportunity to win another trophy.'
At least Ten Hag will have more players available to him for this match than he has for most of the season.
That includes Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, the ideal centre-back pairing, meaning Casemiro could be dropped for the game.
Having once ruled the roost in Manchester, United go into their clash with City as huge underdogs.
Last season they lost 2-1 to an Ilkay Gundogan brace, with the midfielder opening the scoring after 12 seconds - the quickest-ever FA Cup final goal.
This time they are hoping to prevent Pep Guardiola's side from becoming the first team in history to win consecutive league and FA Cup doubles.

Honestly speaking ETH is a good coach but he has a lot of problems with premier league and managing a big club like man utd as indicated by temperament towards the stars of the team. He be allowed to go in peace and let man utd look peacefully for a coach who understands epl and a mutually respectful working relationship with the players, and in particular the stars.

I have said it time without number that if Sir Ratcliffe and INEOS listen to all the rubish some fans and some "ex-player" and "expired" who called themselves legend posted in the social media because of Ten Hag then the Management should be ready for more tough time next season.

sacking him will cost us so much more than 9m why can't we as united fans see there is no quick fix it was always going to take time keep sacking the manager is not the answer when the same shit players are there. ineos are doing the same thing as glazers so nothing changes.and to treat ten hag like this we have no class .thank you ten hag for all you tried to do for united and good luck in future.i am ashamed of my club

How many coaches did you sack that you’re spending 100mili already. Stop the cap Bruh. Chelsea spend more on sacking coaches. Do you know how much that stupid and clueless porter was paid
I'm not a Chelsea fan, but what I know is Mourinho alone was compensated £55mil. so if you add VG, OGS, Moyes and 10Hag, probably add up to that

Sucking coach is not the best solution for now, look at Pep and Kloop, it take them five good years to build those teams. Why can't we give him time?

If the compensation fee is £9M, then it is easy for United to pay from Sancho's deal with BVB.

Sacking Ten Hag will take United back to 7 years. Bring in another coach who may have success in his first season, in the second season that's when the hard job begins

Ten hag is not the coach for United. Nagelsman is good and maybe Tuchel. Or find someone who know the club inside and out.
All them manager you referring are trial and errors!! No body thought Arteta was good for Arsenal!! I use to just laugh at Arsenal!! The fans were already giving up but Arsenal board was patient and their patience paid off to some extent and they still have a long way to go!! They won nothing this season

I don't know what is wrong with people anymore. How can you even be talking about Tuchel. He was kicked out of Chelsea, finished 3rd in the German league and did not make it to the CL finals. He couldn't last two full seasons in the biggest club and the most expensive squad in Germany. Stop this madness.
