Sadio Mane believes he can better another season of impressive individual development with Liverpool when 2019-20 kicks off.

The Senegal international posted the best goal tally of his career last term with 26 strikes in all competitions for the newly-crowned European champions.

His outstanding overall form, meanwhile, contributed immeasurably to the Reds’ total of 97 Premier League points and the Champions League journey that culminated in glory in Madrid.

But, ever eager to improve, Mane will target another personal step up when Jürgen Klopp’s side set off on the quest for more success from August.

“To be honest, I think I improved a lot in my finishing,” he said.

“It was positive because I can say I improved every season, which is important in my development. I will try to work harder and harder to get better and better.”

Liverpool navigated the entire Premier League campaign and their six home matches in the Champions League without suffering a defeat at Anfield in 2018-19.

And Mane highlighted the influence of the supporters in the achievements of the players.

They played a big part in the season,” continued the No.10.

“[There were] very difficult games at home and they were always here. Keep on going because we need you! It’s very important.

“It makes the club special and it’s really important. Sometimes it can be a bad day and if the fans give you more motivation, it’s positive for the team and for them as well.”

“We have a great, great team,” said the forward. “The future can be exciting, for sure. We’ll try to do everything to create something special.”
