Salah-Eddine said that the Dutch team's five-man defense surprised him, but this victory will be unforgettable for him.

After Morocco's victory over the Netherlands, the Amsterdam-born player excitedly told the Dutch national broadcaster that this victory would be unforgettable for him.

"This is truly amazing, this is a night I will never forget, and I will carry it with me for the rest of my life," Salah-Eddine said after defeating the Netherlands, "I was very much looking forward to playing against the Netherlands, against my friends, and then showing them who is stronger. This night is beyond words, I feel fantastic."

When asked if he was surprised by the Dutch team's opening with a five-man defense, he said on ESPN: "Yes, it was a bit surprising, no one expected it. We were indeed surprised. We originally thought they would play 4-3-3, but for us, nothing changed, it just might be a different way of dealing with it."

The Moroccan team adopted an all-out effort in this match. Salah-Eddine said: "This is a World Cup match, we knew we had to give everything, we had to fight for every match. Our whole team did that. I also think the Netherlands is a very difficult opponent, they played very well. I know our strength, and we have shown everyone how strong we are. We will strive for the biggest goals and keep moving forward."
