Mohamed Salah was criticised for 'ignoring' Sadio Mane during Liverpool's 3-0 victory at Burnley on Saturday evening.
Mane had scored earlier in the contest when Salah twice had chances to set his team-mate up for the second, only to go for goal himself.
Roberto Firmino also scored and Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross deflected off Chris Wood into the net.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Jermaine Jenas said Salah shouldn't have been so seflish -but did praise Mane for his angry reaction after being subbed off.
"There are parts of this that I love and there are parts I really don't like," he said.
“This is the part I don't like. Your team-mates are feeding you consistently, he (Salah) has to pass that ball,
“Salah. Firmino is in acres of space and it's an easy ball but he's trying to swing his foot from twenty yards out. That's not what this Liverpool team are about.
He added: "This is why Mane has absolutely lost it. He's going just slide me, I slide you in every week but he doesn't and ignores him.
“This weirdly enough is the part that I actually like. They are 3-0 up and he doesn't feel that he should have been brought off. But this is the desire these Liverpool forwards have to score goals. He won the golden boot last season with Salah and he wants it again.
“I think it's amazing. That's why they score so many goals and that's why there is so much competition. It spilt over today.”

If he scores, he is a king, if not, he is selfish. Who cares... 3 points won. These things should be sorted in dressing room.

Please leave Salah alone, before you start critsizing him publicly , don't forget all his contributions for the great club since he has joined. We used to struggle for top four before he came, now contender for title, UCL final twice , and won it once... Where were you when he allowed Firmino to take penalty so that he may have hatrick instead of him as the penalty taker to take it? Though he might have lost focused by seeking his form back to the neglect of his teammate, but he could be corrected with love instead of all this public criticism... if he should be reading all these critical comments, it may affect his morale and may want out.. No player can do it all by themselves the front three are very good players and everything comes down to team work Sallah always did that like he alone wants to score and that's not right if your teammates are in a better position to score let them you don't have to score every game you want them to assist you but you don't want to assist them that's selfish and that's one of the main thing that caused us to missed out on the title last season

Football is all about teamwork. Some players make mistakes sometimes. Please don’t listen too much of those negative comments from outsiders and haters, as they aim to stir up bad feeling among our strikers and players, that may eventually affect the team spirit and teamwork. Mane Go Go! Firmino Go Go! Salah Go Go! TAA Go Go! VVD Go Go! Alisson Go Go! All Go Go! Liverpool Go Go!!! YNWA

Mane is a better player than all the Liverpool players but never get praised for anything thing I still could recall Mane did all his best for salah to be the highest Goalscorer in his first season, started sensing something last season, and this season he is all out to show he is not afraid of anyone.

no Salah is selfish of which the team won't be able to submit it's best ways, am a fun of Liverpool but I like how mancity plays everyone creates chances that's why it scores much gals which is not in our team#liverpool, so if the team continues with this way we won't be able to finish in the top 4

i dont care who scores as long as we win. Salah was in a very good position to score and he normally does well but Mane was in a better position maybe Salah just didnt see him. Abosolutely love the passion of Mane and Firmino these 3 are extremely talented and we have to take the title with the form they are in truley an incredible team all round

I don't think Mane is competing against his teammates for individual awards. Mane just wants the team to score goals and win matches. He knew they only lost by a point last season and this season he's hell bent on scoring as many goals as possible in their games. He doesn't want to leave anything to chance.
