Sampdoria have confirmed their interest in Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini by offering a loan with a view to £10.75million permanent deal.
Real Betis are keen on 27-year-old Gabbiadini too but have also made an offer for West Ham forward Lucas Perez.
Gabbiadini joined Southampton in January 2017 and made an instant impact with six goals in his first four appearances.
But the Italian's form dipped drastically and his first full season at St Mary's yielded just five goals in 33 matches.
Gabbiadini has only scored once in 15 outings this term, with Charlie Austin and Danny Ings ahead of him in the pecking order.
Southampton have managed just 21 goals in as many Premier League games this season. Only Cardiff, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Newcastle and Huddersfield have been less prolific.
