Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has responded to a claim made by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds boss revealed how at the start of the season he saw the reigning Italian champions as the favourites to go out and win the Champions League.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday night's last-16 showdown with Atletico Madrid, Klopp claimed:"I have no clue if we can win the competition, but we should be ready to go for it.
"Just to fight for it, that is how it is. Then it is about luck in certain moments to win anything and that is what we will need for sure.
"There are so many strong teams out there. I said it before, Juventus was my favourite before the season, obviously I don't watch Italian football enough but if Juventus are not 10 points ahead [in Serie A] then you can see there are some problems."
And the former Chelsea boss has offered his response to the comments made by the Liverpool manager.
Sarri told reporters: "Jurgen also said that he doesn't watch much Italian football, so that explains his confusion!
"Jurgen is one of the smartest and funniest people I've ever known and what he's doing here is shaking off the burden of being the favourites."
Juventus, who currently sit in second place in Serie A behind Inter Milan, are set to take on Lyon on Wednesday.

sorry but i do not agree the problem is Cristiano's presence, let me explain.....he is the biggest ego and the team's style needs to be adjusted in order that cristiano is comfortable and scores goals thus remaining the top of the food chain. I have watched Juventus play since the arrival of Sarri and it does not seem like the normal Sarri ball we all know.....everything seems centered around Ronaldo, Juventus have always done good before the arrival of Ronaldo even under Allegri, when Ronaldo arrived, the team still did good but if we all have to be honest they were not as good as before Ronaldo's arrival and so Allegri got sacked because the board thought the coach was the problem, Now Sarri has come and the teams problems are still pointed at him?
