Lampard was younger than Scholes at the time and Lampard was at his peak years and played a lot more games, had less goals but more assists for Me Scholes is the undisputed, not just because I am a Manchester United fan but because Scholes was in a class of his own and also his achievements in the game says it all but Lampard was another beast too and was one of the best there ever was and ever will be, Both great legends for the Red Devils and the Blues respectively and both are terrific English footballers and also had Steven Gerrard in that bracket too

Humble, non-assuming, quiet, hardworking, creative, loyal and he loved his club very much. He let his footballing do the talking. It was Scholes. The fact is, the way he dominated the midfield and made it easier for attacking players to move forward is his most important quality. Even kings of midfield like Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo... acknowledged he was one of the kings.
