Serge Aurier suffered a wrist injury during Ivory Coast's win over Mali - but he wasn't even playing.
The Tottenham full-back had been ruled out of the Africa Cup of Nations knockout match due to ankle injury.
But he managed to add insult to injury by hurting his wrist after banging his fist on a table at half-time of Monday's clash.
Ivory Coast were locked at 0-0 and the Spurs defender admitted there was a frank exchange of views.
He said after the game, after appearing with a splint: 'We got a little heated, because in the game we were not good. I hit the table and there you go.
'At home, when things go wrong, the parents scream at us. It's the same thing. We had to have no regrets.'
Aurier expects to be fit for the quarter-final against Algeria on Thursday.
